A Fair Shot at the Next Chapter

The FAIR Opportunities Foundation helps people leaving addiction recovery bridge the gap from structured programs into safe, affordable, independent living — and toward lasting financial stability.

Our Mission

We close a critical gap in the recovery continuum. People who complete treatment and achieve sobriety too often face an impossible choice: the full cost of the private rental market, or staying indefinitely in institutional graduate housing. We provide a real, dignified next step — community-based transitional housing with the support people need to build independence, credit, and a future.

Who We Serve

We serve recovery-ready adults — primarily graduates of programs like the Helping Up Mission (HUM) in Baltimore — who are sober, employed or employable, and motivated to live independently but lack the financial runway to do so safely.

Our mission is focused on the fragile window after treatment. We provide a dignified next step for those who have achieved sobriety, offering community-based transitional housing and the support they need to build independence and financial stability.
